We are transforming the smallholder agricultural value chain by leveraging technology, promoting knowledge, R&D and forging transformative partnerships to create tangible long term impact.
The Vana Global impact mechanism is a well-established framework that creates on-ground impact today to create a better future for all stakeholders in the agriculture ecosystem. A wide range of operations has been carried out with our partners, whose benefits have seeped through to the local communities in employment generation, better market access, stable pricing, and sustainable profitability.

Production systems for SHFs are geared towards their immediate benefit. We achieve short to medium-term impact for farmers through organized farm and labor management systems, outgrower schemes, financial access for inputs, crop diversification methods for maximum soil enrichment, and stable market linkages that bring income assuredness.
Our maize outgrower program in Zambia bridged the gap between scarce inputs and seeds with continuous market demand for the crop to increase the cultivation footprint from 15 to 48 hectares and unlock further monetization potential in the region.
Creating a robust production system for smallholders. We try to achieve it through organized farm and labour management systems, pre and post-harvest financial access, crop diversification methods for maximum soil enrichment and global market linkages.
A robust system like this when replicated in Sierra Leone injected USD 850,000 into the local economy in terms of wages and revenues to labourers, farm contractors and transporters.
Technology and innovation are essential pillars of a stable farming ecosystem. Through our Vana Centres, we aim to facilitate farmers’ access to technology, skills, logistics, and storage facilities through an extensive partner network.
In developing nations, each Vana Centre can create up to 500 permanent jobs and a further 200 temporary jobs that will not only boost local economies but ensure working income and better standard of living for thousands of family members as well.
Vana’s unique ecosystem and tech-enabled integration platform work small and marginal farmers. Such an ecosystem is only viable through an emphasis on farm productivity through innovative and sustainable technology, farm management practices and access to working capital in the form of farm inputs.
A unique combination of global and local partners enables the best of both worlds – cutting-edge global innovation and deep-rooted local expertise for transformative application. Vana farmers access a worldwide community of input, output and service partners that make great things happen in difficult places.
Having collaborated with over 20 government, quasi -government, and private organizations in 8 countries, Vana integrates its partner offerings into the evolving agriculture value chain in which the SHF is the focal point.
The agricultural sector directly employs more than 30% of the world’s population. 75% of all farmers are smallholder farmers, typically dependent on state or private market intervention to keep them afloat. Vana’s Solution is built to balance the equity in the total value chain to make agriculture a viable career and business which will attract the best talent and resources. The world needs agriculture to reclaim its apex position in society and we will empower the SHF to do so.
